Oblats and Oblates of Saint Benedict are lay members of the Church who wish to use the Rules of Saint Benedict as an inspiration for their spiritual life. They promise to be faithful to God and to the Church. The Oblats/Oblates are attached to a Benedictine monastery in order to participate in the monastery's spiritual wealth and assist in promoting it's welfare.
